The gentleman who came to give the quote, Eric, was the nicest, most respectable person to my mom. The owners (Jeff, Mike, Don) communicated with me directly to facilitate the install and financing. The level of compassion these folks provided is unheard of in today’s world. They treated this as if it were their mother. The install was a huge, all day event. They had to remove attic stairs. It was a doozy. They reinstalled the stairs and came back to check the re-installation was done correctly and was complete. They also came out a week later to confirm everything they’d gone over with her (new thermostats can be difficult to learn as an aging parent) she still remembered and that the vents were pointing in the direction she wanted and blowing cool air. Georgia power hit a line on the side of my house and caused a surge that blew my entire HVAC system out. They came out the night before new years after 7pm because they knew I had a baby in the house and it was getting to freezing temperatures that night. Unfortunately, our heat stopped working the day after Thanksgiving. We found One Hour Heating & Air on Yelp and gave them a try. They were one of a few who responded to our project request, and we're glad they did. Eric came out on Saturday to check it out, and gave us our options. Unfortunately, we needed a new unit but he was great and very patient in walking us through what was going on. He thoroughly inspected the units inside and outside and took pictures to show us the problems. No one else has done that. He also talked to us about some things to be aware of in the future. We ended up having to get a new system but the process was easy. Eric and AV came back on Monday and installed the new units and checked everything to make sure we wouldn't have any problems. They were so kind and very responsive, and very honest. Don, the owner, also came by to check in and say hello, which was cool (he certainly didn't have to do that) and we enjoyed talking with him. They also put in a new thermostat and showed us how to program it. They swept up afterwards and everything works great. We're very thankful for their prompt attention because it's been pretty cold these past few days and not everyone would have worked so hard and so fast to get this taken care of. Honest, reliable and trustworthy. We needed two gas valves checked. Eric could easily have checked and said they would need to be replaced, obviously at a sizeable cost. Instead, Eric reviewed both in detail, carried full inspection and testing before making it clear they didn't need changing. Absolutely shocked to find such an honest contractor. Highly recommended for any HVAC or Plumbing needs
